Ride To The Wall Cheque Presentation 30th June 2012

The Trustees and Management Committee of Ride To The Wall are pleased to extend an invitation to join us for the Ride To The Wall cheque presentation to The National Memorial Arboretum for funds raised during 2011.

The cheque presentation will take place within the context of the Armed Forces Day Celebrations on Saturday 30 June 2012, which will be held at The National Memorial Arboretum and will be part of a full programme of events to commemorate and celebrate Armed Forces Day, which will include the arrival of the Olympic Torch Relay.

Lance Corporal Johnson Beharry VC will carry the torch and has also kindly agreed to accept the cheque from Ride To The Wall on behalf of the Arboretum. The torch will arrive at 08:30 am and the cheque presentation will take place after the torch has been carried to the Armed Forces Memorial. Further updates of the event will be published on our Facebook and Twitter pages so please visit regularly and we will keep you in touch.

As the cheque presentation will take place early in the day and we appreciate that some of you may have to travel some distance we have made arrangements for camping at the Midlands Water-Ski Centre which is a short ride from The National Memorial Arboretum. Richard Quill the owner has kindly agreed a concessionary rate of £5.00 per tent for those who will be attending the Ride To The Wall Cheque Presentation:

Please note that the motorcycles for the display will need to muster at 06:00 am at a nearby meeting point and will then ride in formation to the Arboretum.

Submissions received by the 21st June 2012 will be entered in a draw and selected by a random generator. The registrants selected will be contacted shortly afterwards informing them of their participation in the display and confirming the details and arrangements.

Should you NOT receive an email it will mean you have not been selected for the display but you are equally welcome and parking will be available in the car park opposite the NMA and you will be able to walk across and join in on the day.

The cheque presentation is very much your day. All the funds raised during 2011 were made a reality by your support, for which we are always both grateful and humbled. We would be privileged to share another unique day together and welcome the opportunity to extend our gratitude for your support.

We very much hope that you will be able to join us for this unique event and look forward to seeing you on the 30th June.
